We've been enjoying summer so far, and we're about to get super busy. The kids are in denial that school will be starting in 6 short weeks, and frankly I can't believe it either.
Kurt has started the process of painting the exterior of the house. I'm so happy about this, but it's a ton of work! I'll post pictures of the entire experience when it's finished. Thursday and Friday he, along with his friend Jared and my nephew Harrison, pressure washed the house and replaced quite a bit of siding. Friday and Saturday we were gone camping (see below) and while we were gone Harrison kept at it, caulking all the nail holes and cracks. We got home Saturday afternoon and spent the evening finishing up. So now it's all sealed up and ready to be painted tomorrow.
Reece just left for scout camp and will return home Saturday. Tuesday morning I leave with Makenzie and my mom and sister for Idaho. We have a fun, but packed trip planned. Lots of driving in a short amount of time, not my favorite, but it will be fun. We return Sunday evening. I'll be sure to post all about it! So it's just Matthew, Tayler and Kurt here this week. With Kurt painting and working, Matthew will be in charge of Tayler... we told him to be extra nice. :)
