FRIDAY:
Click here for the recipe, it's easy and seriously good.
Matthew made this Ironman mask the night before and was working on it right until they left. He said when little kids walked by him they just stared at the light...
Kenzie left after the boys and had fun in her friends HUGE neighborhood. She came home with her loot and 1/2 her costume... the bottom 1/2 unraveled and dragged in the mud... don't you just LOVE mummy wrapping?
Tayler and her friend Sara went trick-or-treating with my dad in our modest neighborhood. Her pirate's booty only took up 3/4 of her pillow case...
I know I'm so spoiled... My dad LOVES halloween and it's our tradition for him to take the kids out, then to McDonald's. Kurt and I get to stay home and watch Halloween on TV with my mom and get freaked out when the doorbell rings... but I LOVE to see the little kids at the door. My favorite this year was 2 boys dressed like Transformers who rang the bell a few times, and apparently I wasn't fast enough because as I was getting to the door they opened it right up and started walking in! Matthew slept at Sean & Harrisons, Tayler slept at Sara's, Reece and Kenzie came home around 10 and we all watched Ironman and went to bed because we were exhausted!
SATURDAY: I have been planning this spooky birthday party for my oldest girl for months. The week prior I was so flippin busy I thought my head would burst. I think the girls all had a good time so my goal was fulfilled. I told Kenzie her next big party is her 16th.
Kurt helped me hang black plastic in the hall and Kenzie painted eyes on it and we shined our black light on them. It worked ok.
I made trees out of butcher paper and we hung lights, lit candles, and did our best to make it spooky in here.

Making the food was the funnest. Aren't these fingers the grossest thing ever? The girls were a bit freaked out by them, but there were only a couple left at the end of the night. Here is how you make them.
I had the most fun making the cake. Here is how you make IT!

We had popcorn, jigglers, slime punch and enough pizza to feed an army.
Tayler was my little helper.
After cake,
we were out of things to do and 2 hours to go! So they did what they wanted and I hung out with Kurt in the garage, trying not to fall asleep. Kenzie had a good time and I think the other girls did too, so yay!
It was delicious and fabulous to just sit and enjoy!
NEXT UP: is Kenzie's family party tomorrow... she'll be officially 12! Her last day of primary was yesterday. How weird is THAT? I will take 3 kids to mutual on Wednesday nights...
Friday I have a purse party AND it's MATTHEW'S party with friends. This one is WAY easier - boys seem to be easier in general! All I have to do is get pizza and root beer float stuff. ~sigh~
The Thursday after that is his family party... then hello Thanksgiving!
PS - I heard not everybody could see the boys videos from Kurt's birthday.

Megan, YOU are an amazing mom! You truly magnify your calling and it sure makes me feel guilty....try not being so perfect o.k.?!!! Your Mathew is quite the good looking kid, he kind of reminds me of David Archuleta. Ever heard that one before?
