Friday the 13th I helped in Taylers class during their party. I'm glad I was able to squeeze it in before we took off to Spokane and spend some extra time with Tayler.
Here she is with her friend Heather.
I rushed home and finished packing up for the drive over the mountains.

Bright and early Saturday morning we got Kenzie checked in at a local high school. She was the only one from her middle school to be chosen. The other middle school in Maple Valley had 5 girls that were chosen and Kenzie was able to practice a few times with them. We were all happy about this because then she would know some girls and not have to be alone the entire day.
She quickly found a friend and took off so Kurt and I went to enjoy our Valentines Day together.
We went to lunch and a movie while Kenzie was practicing away. They were at the high school for 1/2 the day and ate lunch there as well. After lunch they were bussed over to the convention center for the dress rehearsal. Here are some pics Kenzie took along the way...

We arrived and found her sitting with all the kids waiting to perform.
Kurt and I agree, this was the best performance from middle school age kids we've heard. They sang 7 songs and only 2 or 3 were in English. It was very professional and the music was beautiful. I bought the CD and DVD so when they arrive I'll try to get at least one of the songs on here.

After the performance
I think it's fun to model for the camera, but Kenzie doesn't agree... she was getting sick of taking pictures.

We went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic thinking Kenzie would like it, but we ALL loved it! It's a very cute, clean movie. Afterwards we ate at Spaghetti Factory. More pictures, much to Kenzie's dismay.
Kurt loves his pesto, large salad please!

Isn't Kenzie beautiful? She's growing up WAY too fast! It was such a fun weekend with just the 3 of us.
