paint, glorious paint

Why am I painting again? I've asked myself this multiple times today. The family room needs it, bad. I already did the ceiling and now I'm priming the walls. I must be maturing because usually I just slap the paint on and don't care about the old walls. Either maturing, or getting more crazy? Anyway, now I have primer on my fingers that won't come off and I'll be sporting this to Enrichment tonight, while singing in front of everybody... oh and I'm sure there will be some left in my hair after my shower! We're heading to Portland Friday morning (Kurt and Matthew leave tomorrow after school). Will I get it done, or will the house be in chaos when we leave? Will I get laundry done in time? Will I be too exhausted to drive down there early Friday morning? Your guess is as good as mine!Here's the color I chose today and I'm still not sure about it. It looks fun, but it's going to be pretty dark. (this picture actually lightened it quite a bit)But dark colors seem to be the theme on my walls lately so maybe it'll work. I have fun plans for over my fireplace. I've hired Reece to sketch our family portrait on the wall and I'll paint a frame around it. I'm excited, he's such an awesome artist. This was my bday present from him - LOVE IT!
