It's been a while...

hmm. I feel like there's just too much to post about so I'd rather not post at all.
But what kind of attitude is that?
I'll do my best...

The countdown to the last day of school is on.
36 days to go. It can't get here soon enough - I'm ready to be done and I know the kids are for sure.

Last weekend was my book club's annual trip. Our book this year was Peace Like a River so naturally we found a cabin on a river. We were up towards Steven's pass in the middle of nowhere with no cell coverage which was perfect! It was teeny-tiny but we preferred to call it "cozy"...See the ladder up to the "loft"? That's where Tara and I slept. It was more like a crawl space than a loft. Some one compared it to the shelf where kids sleep in campers.
Yes. We slept on the shelf.
See?I would bump my elbow when I turned over.

But just look at our view ~ breathtaking!
This was the yummy brunch I made.
Oh so delicious!
Another beautiful view. We took a drive taking pictures along the way...Then driving back up the hill we were brave and broke the law! hahaha
We climbed down to the waterfall in the above picture.
Rachel was the bravest. Here we all are at our "wits end"
We spent most of our time eating, playing games and chatting.
It was so fun - I can't wait for next year.

Mother's day was wonderful. My kids are the best. They all shopped on their own this year at Pier 1. Hello? How awesome is that? A pretty frame from Matt and Kenzie, a gift card, Reece drew "baby Reece", Tayler gave me a plant she potted, and Kenzie made me a card that made me cry. A yummy breakfast in bed, lunch after church and a lovely nap in the sunshine. I'm such a lucky mom. Kurt gave me pretty flowers and the gift of time. : ) A whole day off work for an extra long date. I don't have a picture of me with the kids on actual Mother's Day which is a cryin' shame. But here are the pictures the kids put in the frame they gave me.
How do they grow up SO fast?
