FRIDAY
The pumpkin patch didn't happen.
It was sunny and everything - we just had too much to do so off to trusty Fred Meyer we went and brought home these babies ~
that turned into these works of art ~
Soon after Matt and Reece were off to the homecoming game, Kenzie ran off to baby-sit and we were ready for our party.

Meet Dr. Venkman and the ghost he's busting...
The proton pack Kurt built.
He worked really hard on it and the picture doesn't do it justice.
The red circles and blue strip light up and there's a motion sensor so when he walks it kicks it off.
Way cool.

SATURDAY
My handsome boys ready for Homecoming.
Reece and his girlfriend, Haley
The group they went with in a huge limo.
Aren't they cute?
When I saw these next pictures I noticed Reece is the only one not wearing his suit jacket.
The jacket we just bought.
But then I saw this and thought
"what a good boy!!!"
What a gentleman holding the umbrella for Haley and letting her wear his jacket.
Awwww.... : )

Here's Matthew and his girlfriend, Tiana.
They're so cute I can't stand it.
Don't they look awesome together?
So matchy. LOVE it!
Since I had the back drop set up we had a little photo shoot after the boys left.
Here's Tayler as the tooth fairy...
Makenzie and her friends as Flora, Fauna and Merryweather. (from Sleeping Beauty)
They stole the show. LOVE IT!
They made the dresses all by themselves with a pattern and zippers and everything.
I'm so impressed.
Then we made a crazy mad dash headed out to the trunk-or-treat.
I didn't bring my camera so I'm copying these from Crystal's blog. (thanks Crystal!)
Those eyeballs look TERRIBLE!
They were way better in the dark, you couldn't see the ugly tape!
It was a fun, crazy, exhausting day.

SUNDAY
I'm not going to lie.
I do love Halloween, but by Sunday I was ready for it to be over.
All the costume stuff and junk all over the house for days.
I was done.
BUT it's only once a year so...
The kids decorated the outside complete with orange lights, smoke machine, music and a ghoul looking out each window...

and I had a menu all planned that I just couldn't ignore.
(Due to the wise counsel of my husband, I did simplify it a bit)

The table,
the main course,
(meat loaf)
Perfectly gross, huh?
my favorite is the fingernails and wrist bone. hehe
We also had candy corn jello,
and chocolate mouse graves
Instead of "rest in peas" we just had normal peas and instead of ghost biscuits, just normal biscuits.
Oh ya we also had slime punch. No picture though.
Today I did NOTHING all day (minus some laundry)
For family night we're cleaning up the MESS!
