It's beee-uuu-ti-fullll!!!
It turned out way better than I planned.
Thank you to Kurt, Brock & Crystal for their help and advice!
Step 1: Remove wallpaper.
This is not an easy job and as I was scraping away I was vowing NEVER to wallpaper again.
NEVER
Before:
During:
feeling a bit of regret at this point but knowing there's no turning back now.
(why helloooo little fish I forgot I stamped on years and years ago!)
After:
disaster.
then I painted the cabinets white. Lovely!
Then I had to figure out the wall color. Usually I know what I want but I had a hard time with this one. The kids wanted yellow, but it was so bright. I wanted bright and fun but not TOO bright.
So then I tried out some greens. In the store they looked very muted but in the bathroom with no windows they were either super dark or too bright. It took days and was a little frustrating.
So while I was buying sample paint like there's no tomorrow, Kurt and Brock installed the new counter top, sinks and faucets.
2 different cameras - totally different looking pictures...
this is more accurate...
Oh it's going to be so pretty!!!
LOVE IT!
So then I found the perfect color. Finally. Perfection! It's actually very similar to the green background on this blog!
Kenzie helped me paint.
Kenzie helped me paint.
Kurt helped me get the ugly light down first.
After the painting was done Brock installed the new light, and helped me get the tile on. I don't have pics of that process... and I don't have one of me framing the mirror - the whole reason I wanted to change the bathroom in the first place. It was tricky and my brilliant husband helped me again... and now for the reveal!

I could live in there now. It's just lovely.
Now I'm finishing off the mantel before book club on Thursday.
This weekend I will try to post pics.
Then it's all prom all the time - but it sorta is already...
Then after prom the plan is to redo our bathroom.
Oh I can't wait!!!
