In February both girls performed in their own WA state honor choirs. 2 years ago Kenzie performed in Spokane. This year it was in Bellevue. We dropped them off early in the morning and they rehearse all day. The performance was at 5:15 so Kurt and I had a nice day together - the sun was out and everything!
Tayler was in the Youth chorus, with 5th & 6th graders.
We got there with plenty of time to wait in line for good seats. We scoped out the balcony when we dropped them off so we knew that's where we wanted to go. We were waiting for my parents and I checked out the lobby and found this! People were outside waiting too...
This is Tayler's choir - she's first on the left, 3 rows up.
Kenzie was in the Junior choir - she's in the front row, 5 people in on the right side.
I'm so proud of them! They have to audition to get in and only a few were chosen from their schools. They each sang 6 songs that they have to learn at home on their own before the big day. The choirs are outstanding! We loved listening to them.
