Our few days away was very relaxing and fun. We ate way too much which is always a good thing. Kurt was sweet and walked around with me while I shopped. The town of Snoqualmie is basically 1 street, but we checked it out and there's an old railroad station with sort of a museum so we checked that out too. The Salish Lodge is famous for their country breakfast - 4 courses, a yogurt and fruit parfait with yummy rolls and muffins from a bakers basket, steel cut oatmeal with dried fruit and cream, the main course with eggs, potatoes, ham, sausage, and bacon, then "dessert" is a pancake. They have the choice of splitting it so you get a little more than half a serving and we did that but we were still full all day. Yum! It also comes with juice and coffee and we didn't want the coffee so we asked for hot chocolate. They asked if we wanted just hot chocolate, or the chocolate pot. We looked at eachother and were like, uh, we don't know what it is, but we'll take the chocolate pot! So they bring this cart to our table and it's this whole (loud) presentation making the most delicious hot chocolate we have ever tasted. They warm whole milk and vanilla infused cream on a burner on the cart and pour it into a pitcher with a special blend of melted chocolate in it. Yeah. Yumm-o. So the next day we had a smaller breakfast and of course the chocolate pot, but Kurt ordered it without the whole fancy ordeal, just bring us the pot.
