Relaxing San Diego

Kurt and I got back today from our trip to San Diego. We had some plans, like go see the temple and try to get to Sea World, but once we were there, doing nothing, we just kept doing nothing and had a fabulous time! Our pictures are a little boring, because it's just us on the beach or at the pool, day after day. We watched movies every night after the sunset and slept in. It was absolutely wonderful.

Us eating breakfast at the airport. Our hotel - our room is the 2nd floor, 2nd door from the left. The view from our room.
After we checked in we went exploring, mostly looking for food.We found a yummy mexican place called Gringos - loved it. Here I am with the best quacamole ever. The first sunset, from our room.
Trying to get fancy with the camera.

One of the days we went for a walk, trying to find the temple. Fun adventure, right? Plus I needed to get some walking in. So we took off, up this HUGE hill that was never-ending. This is 1/2 way up, our hotel is somewhere down there on the coast.
The fog is quickly rolling in and we see we're nearing the top, and this monument. Yes, it is indeed a dead end and not exactly where we wanted to end up! Without the fog this would've been a great view and we probably could've seen the temple from up here. So at this point we're tired, cold and hungry and ready for a movie, so we turned around for the 4.5 mile trek back down the hill.
Here we are waiting for another sunset. We had a perfect view until...This guy shows up and starts hitting golf balls into the ocean like Kramer. This is our pool.
It was a little over-cast every morning, then warmed up. It hadn't warmed up yet when Kurt took this picture, but that's not going to stop me.
After another sunset...
Washing the sand off our feet.
Monday we rented bikes and rode a ways down the beach.
Kurt was holding his drink in one hand and the camera in another, all while steering his bike, taking a picture of me behind his back. This was his first attempt.
This one is quite impressive!
Waiting for yet another sunset - I love them, can you tell? They're just so pretty!
And this is us, waiting for the flight home. Not too excited to be leaving, but missing the kids and ready for our own bed. And - bonus - from the plane we spotted Sea World AND the temple. :)
