Book club was here last night and for all you readers out there I recommend this one. It's a true story about the Civil War battle in Franklin, TN and the events that happen afterward to an amazing woman named Carrie McGavock. I had never heard of Franklin or Carrie McGavock and it's a shame because it's truly an incredible story. FYI - there is some swearing from the soldiers that I could have done without but I just skip over those words real fast. ;o) OH! And be sure to read the notes at the end. There's more facts about the battle and Carrie's life and pictures of Carrie, her family, and her house. You can still visit and take a tour - oh how I would love love love to go!
