My new Favorite room

My painting is done and oh how I love it. The girls talked me into a complete change and I agreed whole-heartedly. We were sick of green and I'd been thinking about orange for a while... don't be scared. It's a pretty orange - "Burnt Copper" in fact. We went for it and it turned out great! Now all the rooms downstairs flow delightfully together.I made new curtains and pillows, and found this fun foot stool at Ross. The squares in the kitchen used to be purple, red, green and cream. The purple became blue, red to orange, cream to brown.I painted the red chairs green.
I was at Target the other day and ran across these bowls... I cannot explain how happy it makes me to shop and actually find things to buy. How could I resist them and their 4 delicious, unbreakable colors that match so perfectly? I am now the proud owner of these bowls, as well as matching dinner plates, salad plates and cereal bowls.

Reece is drawing me another masterpiece. I thought it would be cool on the wall, but now I sort of wish I had him do it on paper... oh well. He said he'd be done by next Thursday when I have book club here:-) I'll post the finished product then.
