Sing for Life

Makenzie had one of the best concerts of the year tonight. Both middle school choirs and the 8th grade choir from the junior high join with the Boeing choir in a celebration of music. You might think - the boeing choir? Hmmm... But they're very good. They travel all over the world performing. Their message for the kids is that you can enjoy music no matter your age or occupation. It's great. My favorite song they sing is The Battle Hymn of the Republic and they invite parents up to sing as well. I was so close, but chickened out. Maybe next year I'll be brave. I love that they give the kids this opportunity to sing with an experienced choir and they will always remember it. Just awesome.

Of course, I didn't bring the camera thinking there's going to be many more concerts to come and I'm tired... but now I really wish I would have. I captured this gem on my phone, all the 6th graders, but I didn't get one with all the performers! Ahh! Next year I guess.
