Do you see what I see? It's not supposed to get CLOSE to 100 in Seattle! It's been upper 90's for days. We're DYING over here! I love, love, LOVE Washington. I grew up here, I love it. The weather, however, can drive me crazy sometimes. Rain, sure I can live with it. When it's a nice 80 degrees, perfect. But when out of nowhere, without warning, it jumps to 104? We're not prepared! We don't have AC! What will we do?!?! Yesterday my dad was his wonderful generous self and spent the day with us on the lake in the boat. My dream come true. We tubed, skied and swam and it was great with just the kids and me, we could spend lots of time getting them up on the skis. They did great!
Here's Tayler. The skiis were a bit too big - as big as her in fact - so she had a tough time. We'll have to remember the smaller skiis next time. : ) She did get up for a second though.
Reece did great. He wanted to try 1 but ended with 2. Popped right up no prob.
Kenzie's first time and it took her the usual 5 or so tries to get it. She caught on fast and was up after that.
Matthew's done it before - he's the old pro.
All these pictures were taken on my phone. I wanted so bad to bring my good camera to try and get some cool shots. Alas, I left it on all night after downloading pictures and had no time to charge it. Next time I suppose. Also, I must say I popped right up on skis as well. We tubed too, but I don't have pics. I went with Reece, then Matthew. It was so fun, it reminded me of high school, being thrown around with my friends. The mind might still be in high school, uh... but the body isn't and I'm feeling it today. : ( I don't like it!!
My parents scored this great spot right by where they tied up the boat. We left our coolers there and came back every once and a while. Well, the 3rd time we discovered 2 people at the table. Ok, they'll move once we get there right? My mom said nicely, "this is our stuff" They just stared. She again said nicely "this is our stuff" to which they replied, "we aren't touching it" Um, ok. A tad bit awkward sitting among strangers, reaching around them to get our food... ya.
The boys couldn't take it so they hung out in the boat. : )
Matt showing off his wind-blown look.
Then Reece trying to prove he's more ripped that Matt. Boys!
This is how I found them this morning... the upstairs in our house is absolutely unbearable.
Reece, on the table, in front of our little cooler-that-could. I decided for Christmas I want central air. It's 8:30 am and already I'm sweating. That little thing in the window just isn't cutting it!

You should come to my house!!!! It can't even make it into the mid 60s here. I feel ya with the water sports. I was thrilled that I could still pop right up on the skis as well. But... I definitely felt old later!
