Whirlwind

I'm not sure when this happened, but lately it seems like our house has 6 tornado's living in it - blowing in and out with barely a moment to rest.

Take yesterday for example: Matt leaves (make sure he has money) around 9 am to go to Comicon in Seattle... pics to follow. He saw Leonard Nemoy! Get Kenzie's hair in hot rollers for her matinee performance. Get her to the school by 12 and drop off snacks for all the kids. Come home, look for her stage make-up that she can't find in her bag and get Tayler out the door (make sure she has money) to the mall and a movie with a friend. Make sure Reece will stay home to wait for Tayler before going to his party. Ignore the grumbling and eye rolling. Leave around 1 to stand in line and get tickets/seats at her play. The 2 hours we got to sit watching her play were very relaxing. Find the actress in the mob of fans, take some pictures and meet her at the car. Get home around 5 to Matthew running out the door to the mormon prom (make sure he has money) take some pictures and he's off. Reece is ready to go to his friends party (make sure he has money) he's out the door right after Matthew. Tayler breezes in about this time. Kenzie and I jump in the car at 6 to get her to her friends house so they can go see the other cast perform the play. (make sure she has money) I get home and Kurt and I try to have a date, but Tayler is now here alone which is fine, but we don't stay out too long. We make it home and I want to crash but 3 of my children are still out in the world somewhere and I want to wait home for them. I made it to 11 and crashed. Kurt waited up for the boys.

See what I mean? This is an everyday occurrence and I'm pretty sure it's not going to slow down any time soon. I like what Kurt asked me -

"Do you feel like all of a sudden our lives are crazy busy all the time?"

"yes"

"it's like we were a little bit country and now we're all rock & roll."

hahaha

Anyway...
For the past 3 months Kenzie has been working hard rehearsing for the school's production of Cinderella. Today was her last performance. What a cute little actress she is. She was cast as a villager and got to be in some dances. She wants to stick with drama and I think it's so much fun! Here she is with her friends -

Taylor as the Fairy Godmother -Emily as Stepsister Grace -

Here's Matthew off to the prom. Isn't he handsome? : D
Just one more Matt! There he goes! Can you see his cute face?
Can I take a moment to say how happy it makes me that our stake puts this dance on? It's a TON of work for the leaders and people asked to help and so worth it. These kids are trying so hard to be good and stick to their standards. School dances aren't the same as when Kurt and I would go - and it makes it really hard for them when every girl is dressed immodestly, the music is full of swear words and the dancing that goes on isn't appropriate. But everyone loves to get dressed up and go to a formal - and here they can go without worrying about that stuff and just have fun together. I LOVE IT!!!

Just look at these adorable kids...
(Kristen is Matthew's date and I LOVE her dress - SOOO pretty! They also went to comicon together. She's graduating this year and going to BYU in the fall... I will miss her!)

Great pictures! When your kids were little, I used to think how loud and crazy things were. Now that they're teenagers, it's even crazier, but more fun. You guys are great parents, enjoy the ride!
