We had a good time in Portland. The train is the only way to go! No traffic, nobody has to drive, we can eat without stopping and they play a free movie. We loved it.

The robot did really well. They had a few glitches starting out but they eventually got fixed. Matthew, once again, was amazing and programmed the autonomous code to kick balls away from the opposing alliance - scoring 1 and sometimes 2 points - before the drivers took control. Yay Matt! We did get chosen to compete in the finals, making it to the semi-finals. We're hoping all the kinks are out and we can do even better in Seattle at the Key the weekend of the 26th. If anyone that lives around here wants to watch (hint-hint Cody, Mitchell, Hilary, Kelle... : ) it's really exciting and fun! Saturday is the day to watch - with the finals it gets pretty intense.
