(My boys are off to EFY for the week and Kenzie leaves tomorrow for Girls Camp. Tayler gets her birthday over-nighter with my mom Wed and Thur night. What will we do with no kids in the house??? I'm a little sad but a little excited as well...)
Now for my post.
We've been home for almost a week and I think I'm mentally prepared to post about our amazing trip without getting too sad. : ) I'm going to post each event separately so it's not so over-whelming.
I'll start with the house. It was incredible! Plenty of space for all of us to spread out and be comfy. Every day we'd wake up whenever we wanted, eat, then walk down the few steps to our very own pool. No worrying about our stuff being stolen or having to secure a chair before they're all gone. Nobody smoking right by us or swimming in our personal space. Oh it was pure heaven. On the days we were out and about and coming back tired it was great to have enough space to crash without being on top of each other like a hotel room.
It truly felt like coming home every day and that's why it was so darn hard to leave.
The driveway of death... This picture doesn't do the steepness justice. To walk up it was a killer. Kurt backed our big SUV down almost everyday. I was too scared!
Living/family/kids hang out with the tv room ~
Kitchen/dining room ~
Look at the view from the deck! My parents, Kurt and I have been watching 24 on Netflix. At night we'd set up our "drive-in theater" with 2 lap tops, head phones and lots of snacks.
Heading upstairs ~
Another little sitting room/where my parents bed was. You walked through this room to the kids room.
Master bedroom~
Random views from the house and pool ~
This was a crater quite close to the house... My dad, Kurt, Matthew, Reece & Kenzie climbed it the first day we were there. I felt gross so I didn't go and we kept saying we'd do it again... sadly we never did.
Can you see the 5 little people at the top? That's them!
And my favorite... the pool ~
