Oh how I love it.
We had a great time and (sorry kids! : ) it was SO FUN just the 2 of us.
Kurt said it well:

"It's way easier NOT being parents than it is BEING parents"

We love our kids, of course, but it was just wonderful to not have to get 6 people to agree (which is impossible) so we could ~
Go on what ride we wanted, when we wanted.
AND sit by each other on EVERY ride!
Eat when and where we wanted.
Go on all the "lame" rides we've never done before.
Come and go as we pleased.
Basically have no responsibilities.

Also, we didn't have to ~
Count 4 heads over and over again.
Listen to teasing, bickering, or stop any fighting.
Drag cranky tired kids to see what we wanted to see.

We arrived Wednesday around 2 and went straight to the park. It was FABULOUS! NO lines, we just walked on whatever ride we wanted. It had rained that morning but the sun was shining when we got there and it wasn't too hot.

Thursday we hit California Adventure. We wanted to see the new World of Color show and we were told to get a fast pass for reserved seating. We got there when they opened and by the time we got in the park the line just for the fast pass was a couple hours long. Ummm... no thanks. We'll just have to go again to see it later. ; ) About 1/2 the park was closed off for building new attractions so we were done pretty fast and headed back over to Disneyland. The lines were a little longer but still not bad. We did more rides and ate yummy food.

Friday we took the day off and slept in, shopping and relaxed. It was nice but we should have went to the park this day and relaxed on Saturday...

Saturday was crowded and HOT.
See?
This is how it was EVERYWHERE you went, and most places were worse.
We got a fast pass for Splash Mountain and found a few rides with small lines. (Pooh Bear, canoe rides) We left after a couple hours to swim. Came back after dinner for the best fireworks show ever, but so did everyone else. You were literally sitting shoulder to shoulder in a sea of people. It was disappointing because we wanted to do our favorite rides again but the lines were outrageous. 2 hours for Pirates? No thanks. We waited for 45 min. for the Buzz Lightyear ride, then we were done. Next time we'll stick with the middle of the week.

I didn't take my camera because I didn't want to carry it around.
I did have my phone so here is some of our trip.

Everything was decorated really cute for Halloween.
See that blue sky? Oh how I've missed it!
Since there was only 2 of us we were in the front for lots of rides... which is fun?
Umm, space mountain is FAST! I swear we were going to drive right off the track.
But we're ok.
The Haunted Mansion was totally changed inside and out with the
"Nightmare Before Christmas" theme.
Super fun.

I love the Pirates ride!
I've always wanted to eat at the restaurant you float by on the ride.
Yep, we did. Loved it.
I love It's a Small World
I made some new friends...
A guy was carving these super cool pumpkins...
Does anyone remember Michael Jackson as Captain EO from 1986?
Classic.
They had it playing for the 25 year tribute.
SOOOOO cheesy but I loved it anyway.
Classics never die. : )
Goin' for a ride on the Mark Twain river boat.
Ridin' the train...
Takin' a canoe ride...
California Adventure
Tower of Terror
I already want to go back. It's my favorite place.
