Time is flying by! I am (proudly) all ready for Christmas and have been for a few days. YAY! I get to enjoy these last couple days before the big day gets here.
The kids last day is tomorrow.
One more day to get up early.
I can do it.
(pep-talk to myself : )
Here's my catch-up for the week:
(sorry, it's a bit long)
Santa!
We actually got the kids to sit for Santa one last time. I begged and pleaded pointing out this might be our last Christmas together for a long time.
It worked.
hehehe
Don't they look thrilled?
While we waited in line with all the cute little kids in their Christmas finest, one of the employees brought us an order form for us to look at. I knew I was getting the cheapest picture so it didn't take long to decide. He then told me he needed the names of my children.
"Ok," I said, "Matthew... "
"And how old is Matthew?"
"18"
"um..." (Blank stare)
hahahahahahahaha
He did chuckle a little after I laughed out loud.

Concerts!
Matthew and Kenzie had concerts last week and they were great.
Here are my favorite songs
Storm!
Friday night was blustery and scary. The trees behind our house were blowing like crazy and it was loud and I don't like it. We were up off and on all night and finally at 7am Kurt was looking out our bedroom window and saw the power lines fall and sparks fly. Boom boom boom, right down the line then a huge BANG and a bright light then everything went dark. Not good. When it got light outside we went to investigate and this is what we found on the road behind our house.
So, ya. We were out of power til Sunday night. Can I tell you how thankful I am for my hubby? He was so smart and just 3 little weeks ago bought a big generator and got a new fuse box installed in the garage just for said generator. So our newly stocked freezer? Our fridges? Our heat? Our TV? : ) Yep they were all taken care of and we lost no food. Our pump??? Still worked. Thank goodness because if not we'd be flooded as well as cold and miserable.
Here's our pond, with no rain the past couple days, still at this level.
Our little pump-that-could is still workin' hard for us.
I spy... 2 ducks! Can you? : )
Santa! (again!)
My dad is santa every year for their ward and the Sunday before Christmas we always get our very own visit. Aren't we lucky?
Tayler ran right over to see him.
The other kids... not so much.
Here they are listening to us tell them to "get over here and say hi" for the 3rd time. I think they were Santa'd out.
But they were good sports for the pictures.
Recital!
Last night was the annual Christmas piano recital at my moms. It's always a fun affair with yummy treats and pizza for us afterward. Reece wasn't thrilled about going, but he did and actually told mom he'd play! Sadly he only remembers the beginning of his song from years past and I desperately hope he can learn it again!
Here are the girls... they did the best of course. ; )
Mom saved Reece for last and he slept through the whole thing! Hahaha it was his nap time.
Reece is at a skateboard competition right now.
He wouldn't let me stay and watch. I told him I wouldn't embarrass him too much.
hahaha
BUT I found this video on Facebook. Isn't he good?
Merry Christmas one and all! Have a good week celebrating!
